In the meantime, here's a movement I have always been very fond of and thankfully for it I've acquired inspiration for my future dream home and discovered my favorite artist of the movement, Theo Van Doesburg.

I might as well settle on one of his pieces, buy the poster and frame it just right for my bedroom.

Architecture Makes me Complete

So, I went to see De Meuron lecture tonight about the project his firm is working on in Miami. They are commissioned to design the new Miami Art Museum and can I say that the lecture further proved my love for architecture. Apart from the wonderful lecture, I was able to reconnect with old classmates. In general I want to say that it's my passion for architecture that drives my happiness and I will work consistently to get to the point where these Swiss architects are. It's a beautiful thing to make your ambitions a reality and I will definitely be living proof of that statement at some point in time. In the meantime, here is a long time favorite that they played at the piano bar I went to tonight. Enjoy.

Silversun Pickups slipped under my radar for awhile until this song came out not too long ago. I had downloaded it to give it a try and once I heard it I was blown away. It has so much energy and rhythmic depth that I could identity with it just alone with the title itself. It's become an addiction and has gotten me through some frustrating moments.Also, the video, directed by James Frost, seems appropriate for the song. I hope you like it. Enjoy!

So, it's been a while since I've been on here, but since it'll be a little too much/late for me to update you on the past month, I'll post this song in the meantime until I get the chance to give you a worthy post. Here's one of the latest singles "Farewell to the Fairgrounds" (personal favorite) from The White Lies's album To Lose My Life... I have just recently heard this album and been obssessing over the catchy pop riffs and it's hard to resist the singer's vocal resemblance to Ian Curtis. Enjoy!

So, Happy Cinco de Mayo for you Mexicans out there and for those who just LOVE the Mexicans in their lives (aka me). Apart from looking forward to celebrations tonight, I've got some projects I'm looking forward to checking out in NYC. There's an array of projects I want to see, but as of now, The High Line takes the cake. It's always nice to see an abandoned aspect of any city renovated into something beautiful and timeless. It reflects on the fact that any infrastructure can be made into something worthwhile and useful for any age in time. I would love to be involved in a project like this sometime soon. So when I used to be subscribed to Fabric Live, which I want to reinstate a.s.a.p., I discovered the Filthy Dukes. They seem to me like superstar local London DJs. Apparently, they have a successful, weekly night at Fabric called Kill Em All, which I hope to check out one day. I absolutely LOVED their Fabric CD and wondered why they never became a huge sensation. I just came across their new album called Nonsense In the Dark and heard their first single "This Rhythm" and I can already say it's going to be on repeat 'til I'm sick of it. I'm excited about this and hope more of my secret wishes come true. I have a feeling these guys will get far. I hope for their sake they blow up. Here's the single, Enjoy!

Fun Times Ahead

I'm glad to say that all my friends are going in a good direction and blossoming daily into successful artists/designers/writers/etc. The best part about it is when any of my friends have an upcoming event, all our friends & family come out to show support and love for their hard work. Here are some upcoming events in Miami and NYC of some good friends of mine! I will be present at both, so if you are in either city at either time get ready to see my Miami/NYC family and I celebrating and flaunting our talented buddies. Oh, Weekend

Sometimes it's hard to find a decent movie in the theaters nowadays considering that they are still milking off of film ideas and concepts that have been recycled time and time again. Well, I've managed to see two films, Examined Life and Tokyo!, that were absolutely spectacular in their own rights and I highly recommend everyone to check them out.

Well, I wouldn't say its tragic, but at least from my perspective: The majority of my music from my external harddrive has dissapeared except for 2 GB worth. God, I don't know what I did to deserve this, but I'm going to pretend this is a fluke and it will all go back to normal by the end of the day. For now, I'm going to shed a tear for my long-lost music library. In the meantime, I'll listen to Last.fm (my saviour) and look at pieces from the Milan Furniture Fair 2009 (Salon Internazionale del Mobile: Milan) that started yesterday and think about how in the future I will be able to own some pieces like these or maybe even submit work of my own (oh lala). So far, here are a few of my faves:

Happy Earth Day everyone! Not that it shouldn't be a daily effort to celebrate what mother nature has given us, the holiday makes it so the entire world realizes what we have at stake.
For an individual willing to offer a helping hand who's not associated with green conservation, one can easily use less water, take public transportation, carpool, or just save energy by turning off certain unnecessary appliances. Naturally, most music aficionados would have heard of The Smiths by now and even more of its charismatic, extremely talented lead singer Morrissey. Well, for those who might not fully understand the grasp of their creative fervor, here is a taste, one of my favorite songs of theirs hands down. It'll be better to start off with The Smiths in order to fully understand Morrissey. Enjoy!
